Senior Sourcing Specialist – Public Sector
Mississauga – Hybrid. Full-Time, Permanent.
$100,000 – $110,000 + Public Sector benefits and pension

We are recruiting for one of our favourite Public Sector clients, based in Mississauga. They are
seeking a smart, well presented, consultative Procurement professional to join their excellent
team.

As a potential candidate you will need to have a strong indirect procurement background with
category experience in either IT, Professional Services, Facilities, Marketing or Construction.
You will have a strong Strategic Sourcing background with experience of running complex RFx
(RFP, RFQ, RFI) and negotiating complex agreements and contracts. You will ideally have
some Public Sector experience, however this is not vital for this role as long as you are the right
fit for the team.

Although the title is Senior Sourcing Specialist, the role is at the Category Manager level for
most organizations. This position has a strong salary, great job security and amazing benefits,
including a government pension. They are a flexible employer, who offer great work/life
balance. This role is unlike many government procurement roles. It is not just administrative
and process based, they are seeking a dynamic, consultative Sourcing professional.

Senior Accountant 
Richmond Hill, ON (Hybrid)
$80,000 – $90,000 + Benefits

Our client is an established global company that is looking to add to their accounting team.

This is a great opportunity to work in an extremely unique, government-based setting. They are seeking a Senior Accountant to focus on the full cycle accounting of the subsidiary

Responsibilities

  • Manage the entire accounting cycle for the general ledger, overseeing reconciliation of payroll, accruals, bank statements, pre-payments, and tax accounts.
  •  Ensure thorough reconciliation of all accounts to the general ledger, supported by appropriate documentation. 
  • Investigate and resolve any discrepancies in accounting records. 
  • Oversee Inter-company Transactions, ensuring timely completion of reconciliations. 
  • Conduct monthly IFRS financial reporting and analyze financial statements, including income taxes. 
  • Develop and monitor expense and capital expenditure budgets as needed. 
  •  Collaborate with internal and external auditors to fulfill audit information requirements and address inquiries. 
  •  Supervise the accounts receivable process and ensure timely collection of funds within approved terms.
  • Manage accounts payable procedures, including electronic payment setup. 
  • Perform cost analysis and oversee inventory valuation. 
  •  Lead month-end and year-end closing activities. 
  • Undertake miscellaneous tasks and projects as necessary.

Requirements:

  • CA, CPA or CGA designation is a must
  • 7+ years of relevant work experience on full cycle accounting

Skills and Competencies:

  • Knowledge and experience with QuickBooks 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skill
  • Strong understanding of excel (i.e.: databases, pivots, nesting complex formulas)

Senior Acquisitions Analyst – Real Estate Development

Reporting to the Senior Management Team, this key member of the team will play a crucial role in evaluating potential investment opportunities and providing insightful analysis to support informed decision-making. This position involves project modelling, analysis, tracking, thorough industry research, analyzing financial data, assessing market trends to identify promising investment prospects and reporting on all aspects of the development process to the Management Team.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive research on various investment opportunities, including equities, fixed income, real estate, and alternative investments.
  • Gather and analyze financial statements, market data, industry reports, and other relevant information to assess investment viability.
  • Perform due diligence on potential investment targets, including evaluating financial performance, competitive positioning, and growth potential.
  • Assist in developing and maintaining financial models to assess investment returns, profitability, cash flow projections, and other relevant financial metrics.
  • Perform sensitivity analyses and scenario planning to evaluate the impact of market fluctuations and economic variables on investment performance.

  • Prepare investment memos and reports outlining findings, analysis, and recommendations for investment opportunities.
  • Present investment proposals to senior management, articulating the rationale behind recommendations and potential risks.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2-4 years of relevant experience with real estate finance, or development management
  • Experience conducting financial analysis for potential land/real estate acquisitions using advanced models in MS-Excel
  • Experience developing and maintaining budgets, project proformas, cash flow projections and financial reports
  • Strong understanding of development financing (typical financing structures at various stages of development) and land economics.

Accounts Payable Specialist 

Toronto, Ontario (in- office) 

$65,000- $75,000 salary

Main Responsibilities:
• Receive and sort invoices, check invoices for accuracy and code invoices, and post invoices in accounting system
• Prepare for cheque and electronic payments
• Prepare monthly HST reports
• Reconcile accounts payable transactions
• Check batch list at month end to ensure invoices are entered correctly and resolve discrepancies
• Subcontract invoices – check accuracy of each progress billings – contract value, previously billed, and holdback matches to our records. Review invoice package for documents required under each contract
• Reconcile vendor accounts including subcontractors’ final settlement at the end of project and holdback reconciliations
• Main contact for vendor inquiries
• Maintain tracking for invoices that are on hold
• Banking duties, deposits and administrative duties as required

The Ideal Candidate
• 2+ years AP experience, preferably in real estate
• Strong communication/interpersonal skills
• Excellent organizational and analytical skills
• Maintain a high level of accuracy
